About Us
The Greendance Film Festival premiered in 2007 as the Ch*Eco Film Fest. This year we have a new name, but are hosting the same great events and more!
The Greendance Film Festival, February 28-March 2, 2008, is hosted by California State University, Chico and the Chico Sustainability Group. Our mission is to inform and inspire for positive environmental change. Using the medium of environmental film, it is our goal to present new ideas, encourage deep thought, and inspire action towards more sustainable lifestyles and a healthy planet.
California State University, Chico is dedicated to sustainable development as a means of balancing human social, cultural, and economic needs with the natural environment. The University is striving to become a leader in achieving a new vision of education which integrates the principles of sustainable development into the academic programs, practices, and collaborations of our university.
The Chico Sustainability Group's mission is to explore, support, and inspire practices and activities that ensure a prosperous, healthy community where people and nature thrive harmoniously, now and in the future.
